Project C05 will reconstruct the flow paths that connect the surface and subsurface compartments by the application of "tailored polymer colloids" as non-conventional tracers of reactive transport. With additional chain-end functionalities of the polymers that target biota, we aim to move from the laboratory to the field scale in AquaDiva's joint multi-tracer experiments. The results will allow to generate a framework of colloidal transport processes to understand the migration of natural soil solution constituents and colloids.
