Visiting Scientist - Denise Akob - USGS

We were thrilled to welcome back our esteemed Guest Scientist Denise Akob (USGSExternal link), who first joined us in 2008 in Jena and has since become an integral part of our CRC.
During her visit this time, she gave an inspiring talk at our Bio-Geo-Colloquium and shared invaluable insights, particularly for our young scientists, offering both guidance and wisdom from her extensive experience. 
Her contribution to a pivotal foundational paper in 2011 has been instrumental for our CRC, and it was wonderful to reconnect and hear firsthand about her latest work. Beyond the professional collaboration, we have nurtured a longstanding friendship with her, and it was truly special to have her and her family with us.
